Here is my second painting for the month of January. This painting only took a week which is not a long time because of school work. I chose to paint this because now that winter is over people cant wait for summer. The most hardest part of painting this was trying to paint the plants on the lower right hand corner. I was indecisive to whether I wanted to paint it because I thought it would ruin the colors of the sky and the ocean. Overall, I decided to paint it because it was apart of the picture and I didn't want anything missing.
I plan on working on a painting every month because my goal is to get over three before May. I believe that i can accomplish this goal and maybe even achieve more.
I have emailed my mentor and asked if we could have a meeting about how I need to plan about how I need to get this done. This will be easy because my mentor is my mom and I could talk to her anytime. We plan on talking today after school or talking throughout the weekend.
During thanksgiving vacation I bought the materials needed to paint my first painting. However, before I start painting I will need to sketch out or draw the picture first on the canvas. After I finish sketching I will be ready to start painting. I was thinking that I will be able to start painting on the weekend.
When I begin to paint on the weekend I will have to go through steps on how I will start on the canvas. The easiest way is to begin from the back part of the painting because it will make it look more in lined with what's up close and what is far. Since I brought my project to class I just decided to focus on my rotations because its hard to focus on drawing when there are so many people in the classroom. This is one of my paintings from the summer. It is not much of a landscape painting but I painted it because I was remodeling my room. I was surprised how well it came out. When I decided to put a painting in my room I wanted to paint a picture on three canvass to make it into three parts.
